Area of Application:
The Hammer Mill, series PHMS is used for the economical preparation of chips from round-, residual or waste wood and annual plants into quality flakes for middle- and surface layers, flakes for combustion, briquetting, pelletizing etc. whether wet or dry. Decisive advantages are universal application possibilities for various feed materials and flake qualities, high throughput rates, robust construction and uniform material preparation at low specific energy consumption.


Method of operation:
Material is fed vertically from the top. The patented gravity sifter "Cleanomat" separates heavy pieces from the feed material. Flat steel hammers size reduce the feed material at high speed. Size reduction is performed between the rotor and the grinding path. The hole size of the installed screen determines the end fineness. The material is discharged straight down out of the machine. Transport is performed pneumatically or mechanically by means of an auxiliary aspiration system.
